In deze periode ziet hij voornamelijk oostfront actie oa in omgeving Stalingrad, Kuban, Krim in functie van Schreiber. Hij is onderscheiden met de Ostmedaille en medaille 11 oktober 1938. Ook wordt hij diverse malen bevorderd tot uiteindelijk Stabsgefreiter in 1944. Het soldbuch verkeert in nette complete staat. Zeer interessant soldbuch voor verdere research!
